About

Anulfo Baez is a citizen critic, writer, blogger and curator passionate about art, architecture and the built environment. The Evolving Critic has been an experimental creative outlet since 2009 where art, architecture, fashion and books will continue to be explored and written about. From August 2012 until October 2013, Anulfo went on hiatus from The Evolving Critic to write and edit blog articles for Big Red & Shiny—a non-profit arts organization and online art journal based in Boston. While at BR&S, Anulfo covered a variety of subjects ranging from performance art to sneakers inspired by Brutalist architecture. Anulfo has also written for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, The Boston Society of Architects among other outlets. In his spare time, Anulfo studies Japanese language and strives to learn as much as he can about Japanese culture and way of life. Sneakers, vinyl records, Brutalism and mid-century modern furniture and architecture are some of his favorite things. Anulfo holds a BS in Planning and Development from the University of New Hampshire and a BLS in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University. He lives and works in Boston.
